Volunteer Orientation
Each applicant goes through a similar training process in order to become a certified volunteer: The first step is attending a general Volunteer Orientation. Once the volunteer has decided which volunteer job position he/she would like to do, the volunteer is scheduled for training in that particular volunteer job position with a designated trainer. Once trained, the volunteer is scheduled and informed of the days and times available to volunteer. The days and times they can volunteer will be determined by the Volunteer Coordinator looking at the volunteer job position, the volunteer's availability, and the Healdsburg Animal Shelter's needs.
Orientations are held by appointment. Please contact Kerri at (707) 431-3386 ext.19 or kerri@healdsburgshelter.org. We prefer a commitment of at least 2 hours a week (8 hours/month minimum) for 6 months. Youth volunteers must be 15 years of age or older.
