Volunteer Highlight

Patty Ford

For 16 years, Volunteer Extraordinaire Patty Ford has been a most faithful friend to the animals of the Healdsburg Animal Shelter.  Several days a week for a few hours, year in and year out, rain or shine, Patty visits the Shelter ready to share her time and attention with our animals.  Patty walks dogs, socializes puppies and offers some good-manners obedience training to some of our overly- excited canines.  Patty shares her kindness with our feline guests as well, grooming and playing with the cats, and offering love and kind words to our long-term sheltered kitties.  Patty is always willing to help prospective adopters with her personal insights about choosing the next love of their life, and bakes the most delicious cookies for the staff!

Patty's dedication and willingness to help is inspiring!  She is flexible, thoughtful, generous and always has a smile on her face.  The Healdsburg Animal Shelter has been most fortunate to have her on board walking dogs, visiting with the cats, and helping the staff and public wherever and whenever needed!

Congratulations, Patty, and thank you for your dedication, commitment, hard work and absolutely outstanding volunteer service! You have and continue to 'make a difference' to the many animals entrusted into our care!
