Owned Animal Surrender and Adoption

Through PAWS (Partnership for Animal Welfare Services) with the Sonoma County Animal Care & Control, the Healdsburg Animal Shelter is now a resource for the care of stray animals found outside the City limits. Our expanded services now include care and adoption for stray animals from surrounding areas outside city limits including Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley and Eastside / Westside Roads.

We will accept from Healdsburg residents owned animals who are no longer wanted or can no longer be kept. Upon occasion, we can accept animals from outside Healdsburg, if space permits. Please be aware that we do not guarantee placement of any animal. Ability to place depends upon the health, age and temperament of the animal and on available space in the Shelter.
