Microchipping

  1. Microchips help identify your pet. If your pet is lost and ends up at HAS, we will be able to contact you and let you know your pet is here.
  2. It is a permanent method of identification. The microchip will stay with your pet for life.
  3. Identification information can be easily updated. As the information is kept on a database, it is a simple matter to update your details whenever you move or your number changes.

These are just a few benefits of microchipping. All animals adopted from our shelter are microchipped before going home. Microchipping your pet takes less than five minutes and is as painless as a vaccine injection. Most shelters and veterinarians will microchip your pet and we do it here at the Shelter for $20 per pet. Microchipping is available by appointment. Call us to schedule your pet and/or to receive more information. 707-431-3386*0
