Plenty O Purrs....

Charlotte

Charlotte (yes, that will remain her name) is doing GREAT! She's still a little shy about exploring the house, and my other cat is taking her time to "embrace" her new sister. But every day we make progress -- when the sun goes down, Charlotte comes out of her little "hidey hole" in my office and explores the house to her heart's content. My other cat is starting to accept her more and more each day -- no hissing, no fighting. Charlotte is extremely affectionate, and when I sit in my office (which is where her special hidey hole is), she spends a lot of her time rubbing up against my legs and "talking" to me. Charlotte is a great girl, and we love her! I love the shot of her head cradled in my husband's hand. - Denise

Randy

Randy is a beautiful orange shorthaired tabby that I was told was a former stray (originally named Cherub) who I adopted from your shelter in August of '08.  He is a beautiful, loving, affectionate lap cat.  Thank you for the near 4 years of happiness I've had from this wonderful kitty-boy :-).

Rocky has a new name of Smokey, but I call him "Little Kitty Faces" and he loves it :-) He is a very spunky kitten full of piss and vinegar :-) he loves to bite toes, walk on your feet as you try to walk and he loves to help with grocery bags or if you need to write he will be your best friend. He loves to help guide the pen as you write. He is also the most vocal cat I have ever had, I love it. We have chats daily. - Brandy

Dash (née Cy)

I just wanted to say thank you so much for taking care of Dash (Cy) and giving him all of the medical attention he needed as a youngster. We are having such a good time with him and love him so much already! Even our other cat Dori (who we also adopted from Healdsburg Animal Shelter) loves him and they are having so much fun playing together. Dash and Dori (our other kitty from HAS) are getting along really well and we are so happy to have both of them as a part of our little family.

Thanks for all that you do. It is truly an amazing job that you do and that the shelter does to protect these animals.

We love Ali!!!! (We kept her name) She's such a sweetheart! She and our other cat Chance get along so well! She's such a lap cat, always jumping up and making herself comfy as soon as anyone sits down, and her uncontrollable purring is adorable! We even got a brand new tower for them. She's a lovable addition to our family and we're already so happy and lucky to have her :). Have a great day! Emma

Wunjo

I am very happy to have Wunjo home with me, once again (and so is he!). You don't know, but Wunjo was originally my cat, adopted from HAS in 2002, and now he has been readopted by me. I won't be changing his name, as it aptly means "joy", and I gave him that name.

Wunjo was a trooper with our 16 hour journey from Healdsburg to his new home in the mountains of North Carolina ... 2 flights, a 3 hour layover in Denver, and then a 3 1/2 hour drive from Atlanta to home. He sat quietly in his crate under the seat in front of meon the planes, and then he slept on my lap for the final drive in the car. He has taken beautifully to his new house, and has gently "trained" our Golden Retriever puppy on the proper procedures and art of approaching a cat.
They are quite friendly with one another, and even sleep nose-to-nose at night.

Wunjo was fascinated to watch his first snow fall from our living room window, as you can see from the picture .

We are both grateful for our reunion and we will remain inseparable!
Thank you for taking such good care of him until I could get to Healdsburg to bring him home.

Best regards,
Leslie Maziejka
